What everyone asks before starting
01Will you ever ask me for my recovery phrase or my 2FA code?+
Never. Not by Telegram, not by email, not by chat, not by phone: nobody from TropyCash will ask you for your recovery phrase, your passkey or your 2FA code, and anyone who does is trying to steal from you. And it’s not just that we won’t ask — we don’t need them. TropyCash is a multi-signature wallet — your account is guarded by several keys, and no single party, us included, can move your funds on its own — and decentralized by nature: your money lives on-chain, not on our servers. In fact, you can export your keys whenever you want and open your wallet outside our app. You never depend on us existing.
02How long does the cash take to arrive?+
The on-chain part confirms in seconds on any network. Hand delivery through our network of nodes takes 24 hours on average and up to 72h in more remote areas. You pick the delivery method — cash or local-currency card — when you request the quote.
03Which networks and tokens can I send from?+
We accept USDC and USDT on the 7 EVM networks we support: Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, BNB and Avalanche. You pick whichever combination you already hold in your wallet — we’re on all of them.
04Do I need gas (ETH, MATIC, BNB…) to send?+
No. If you use the built-in Tropy wallet we fund the gas with a paymaster: you sign, we pay the network. The only exception is connecting an external wallet (Metamask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect): there you pay your own gas like on any dApp.
05What if I don’t have enough balance on the network I chose?+
The contract checks your balance at charge time. If you have funds in the chosen network+token combination, it charges and that’s it. If not, the transaction fails before moving anything — no funds are lost, you simply pick another network where you do have balance.
06Do I need KYC, or can you see my identity?+
No. Tropy is non-custodial: your wallet signs directly against the contract with no identification forms. The only thing we store is what’s needed to deliver the cash (name, address, phone), and it does not live on the blockchain: it sits in a database only our server can reach — your browser never connects to it.
07Who controls my money before the recipient collects it?+
Nobody. The TropyReceiver contract routes the funds straight to an immutable treasury wallet that pays the local node. No intermediate custody. If the payment fails for any reason, the transaction reverts on-chain and nobody touches the funds.
08How much does it cost to send?+
Two components: the service fee scales with the amount (1% under $500, 0.75% between $500 and $1,000, and 0.50% above $1,000) and the courier fee depends on the recipient’s municipality. Between the two we almost never go past 1.5% total, versus the 5–10% other operators charge.
